Exodus chapter 29, verse 21.

Then you shall take part of the blood that is on the altar and of the anointing oil

and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and his son's garments with him.

He and his garments shall be holy, and his sons and his son's garments with him he and his garments shall be holy

and his sons and his son's garments with him did you did you hear what is to be sprinkled here on

aaron and his garments and his sons and his son's garments. One, blood that's on the altar and two,

anointing oil. Now think about the significance of those two things and then think about how it applies

to our lives. One, the blood that's on the altar, the blood of a sacrifice that makes it possible

for the priests, Aaron and his sons, to minister

in the presence of God. This is the beauty. We've seen it over and over again, talked about it

in Exodus. Jesus has died on the cross. He has shed his blood so that we become like priests. We're

able to enter into the presence of God by the blood of Jesus.

That's only possible by his blood, by his sacrifice for our sins.

And then second, the anointing oil.

So to anoint something is basically to set it apart for a special purpose,

specifically for a holy purpose.

So this will cause Aaron and his garments to be holy, his sons and his son's garments to be

holy with him. And so I think about my life, I want to encourage you in your life.

For all who have trusted in the blood of Christ

to cover over our sins and makes access to communion with God possible, to pray in this way for his anointing,

for God to set our lives apart for His holy purposes.
