And today we're talking about one of the great unheralded action

directors, Isaac Florentine. So this is a filmmaker who I've wanted to look into for years. I've

been hearing about him for over a decade now. For me. From you, but also from the vulgarotourists.

And that's probably too deep a rabbit hole to go down now. Yeah, let's not go down that.

But there have been a lot of people over the years who have said, of all the people making

direct-to-video American action movies right now, this guy is the best.

And he's been doing it for a long time.

He's been churning away since the late 80s making movies, and his style has only been refined as he went.

And his style, I think, is the thing that makes him as impactful as he is in that he figured out exactly the way that he wanted to present actions, a very specific, bold way, and he also loves the genre. And I think

that's very important. So what I've been hearing about him for years is that there are these

direct-to-video action movies, you know, forget about your Stephen Seagall, you know, forget

about all that stuff. There's this guy who's making them where they're very stripped down.
