0:33.1	Welcome to the Elisa Childers podcast, where it's always my goal to help equip Christians to identify the

0:46.8	a great episode with one of the seminary professors from Southern Evangelical Seminary, which is my
0:52.7	seminary. We're going to be talking all
0:54.4	about biblical interpretation. This is such an important topic because I can't tell you how many
0:59.5	times I'm talking with a Christian, and they will think just because something is recorded in the
1:04.3	Bible, that that's something we should be doing. But as we'll learn today, along with different tools
1:09.3	of hermeneutics, which is the art of interpreting
1:11.6	the Bible properly, not everything the Bible records is something it approves of. We have to use
1:17.2	good critical thinking skills, rules of grammar, hermeneutical skills to interpret the Bible
1:23.4	properly to really get to the objective meaning that is in the text. So we're going to be talking
1:28.4	all about that today with B.J. Mauser, who is such a great professor. We're continuing our
1:33.5	seminary series as we head into fall. But I want to let you know about a few things before we
