I'm, I was at very severe risk of being all on my own today because those of you who follow us on Twitter may well know that Ian Dale, despite attempting to be a brave little soldier, has now succumbed to the COVID that he's been announcing to everybody all week.

And quite wisely has followed the advice to rest and look after himself.

So we have, off the subs bench, a rather, I don't want to say this to Ian, but a rather lovely, handsome, young version of Ian with more hair.

Well, this is a bit exciting.

Very weird for me.

As a big listener of the Four the Many Podcasts, been listening since Year Dot.

So, big fan, been listening to thousands of hours of your podcast and now I'm here, sat where Ian would be sat normally.

I feel like I've won a competition or something.

Well, to be honest with you, normally Ian would be sitting in his front room.

So we don't usually do it in the flesh. I know this is a treat to be

actually in a proper studio. I can see you looking fabulous, looking glamorous as ever. And yeah,

I'm really looking forward to chatting with you. So do you want to explain to the four the many

listeners what you do as your day job and why Ian might have picked you for this. Okay, so my day job is working on

LBC's sister station, which is LBC News, so all part of the company from Global and LBC News was set up

a couple of years ago to be a rolling 24-hour news station for the UK and it's a sister station to LBC and we work really well as a brand

because LBC does all the big hitting interviews and it's all about the opinion-based stuff

so that's why we've got great opinionated presenters like Ian and James and Sheila and Nick and

everyone. Yeah, yeah, get on with the advert. And so LBC News is about sort of distilling that and just bringing people the news.
