Welcome to Talking Giants presented by Draft Kings. I'm your host Bobby Skinner here with my co-host Justin Pinnick and we have a game of the recap.

0:38.0

Now I know we lost it, but it's a preseason game so you don't have to care about the end result. But we are going to talk a lot about the individual performances, some good, some bad things that you should worry about, things that you shun it, things that you should be excited about, things that you should.

0:53.0

Justin, how are you? How did it feel to be at the game? How are you doing?

0:58.0

Bobby Skinner, I think it's preseason for everybody because I think you're supposed to start off these episodes with Jets, 12 Giants, 7. Welcome to Talking Giants. My name is Bobby Skinner with my co-host Justin Pinnick.

1:08.0

So it's preseason for everybody. It's also preseason for me. I'm sorry for my voice. This is kind of terrible. Would not blame me if you clicked off right now because this is just going to be bad.

Don't click off.

I'm going to try to not talk that much of stuff. So it felt good to be back at MetLife. It's first time since end of 2019. It was the first time that Giants fans were allowed in MetLife where Eli Manning was not on the team did also realize that which was a very humbling thing to really feel because I was watching the new hype video that they made for this year.

1:41.0

And they had Eli in it, but Eli is now a historical figure. He is not a current player. So it wasn't like he was part of the hype video in that kind of way. So it was good to be back.

1:52.0

I was expecting more of an uglier game, still a boring game, but just great to have football back and really appreciated. Everybody that kind of came up and said hello. So happy to be here. How are you?

2:02.0

I'm good. Now I want to talk about this first because I don't want to spend a lot of time on it because it's not like the biggest deal, but I feel like we have to delete. I don't want to say it for the end either.

2:15.0

Clayin Thorsten is really bad. I mean, he went five for 16, 72 yards. He had the one touchdown, which by the way, fun fact, Damien Willis has had a touchdown in two of the little Giants last three pre-season games. He had one for the Bengals in 2019.

2:29.0

I just want to get out of the way. I feel like we should have a better third string QB. One who can just compete in the pre-season, not complete less than a third of his passes. That screws up the wide receivers.

2:40.0

Like I don't it's not even like, oh, because we need a good third QB. I just want to be able to have all wide series be able to make some plays in the in the pre-season.

2:49.0

He had a fastball check down to a covered a covered Sandra Plaskomer on fourth and seven. And then his deep balls were just like, I'm just going to throw it up there and see what happens.

3:02.0

Yeah, the technically the guy from Cincinnati who you know, he called the touchdown pace. He should have two touchdown passes or catches. I just, excuse me.

3:10.0

Yeah, because Dorsen. He was wide open on the right sideline, but Dorsen just basically threw it into the stands. You said that in your in your reaction video on YouTube.

3:20.0

That's a good point because before this podcast, I was just going to be like, I don't care about Clayton Dorsen. He could be as bad as we want or as good.

3:29.0

He's probably not making the team because Glennon's the second quarterback, but that's a good point where really the only wide receiver and which we really have a take on is David Sills.

3:38.0

Because he had, you know, the the second or the first most explosive play from that game on the sideline and running that little go route. And he had it was a really nice catch.

3:47.0

That's the only wide receiver that we have a take on and why receiver five is a big competition right now. And it could be decided on who stands out in pre-season, who stands out on special teams or a combination of either or.

3:58.0

So really the only take on any wide receiver we have right now is on David Sills. And it's because of how bad Clayton Dorsen was.
