Hi Jim, how are you? Good, how are you? Well thank you for being here in spirit and electronically.

Yes well I have to say apologies to our listeners that they hear us in a little bit different sounds today but we're remote from each other and we're each remote from our guests so we are still making sure we're bringing them quality behind police lines, podcasts even though we're not in sync with them.

Right and speaking of guests we have a very special guest today Joanne Souter who is an AV-rated attorney licensed in Maryland DC in California and her practice deals solely with sexual abuse and egregious medical malpractice cases.

Joanne how are you doing today and thanks for joining us.

I'm purple eight. That's great. I like her already. Well we really appreciate you coming on Best Case Worse Case to bring us behind the cases that you have worked.

And I think people may have heard of you and at least one of your cases is that possible. I guess it is.

Well you want to tell us about that case. Just real brief. Well I've been involved in many many high profile cases. Neil Solomon, Colin Bein, the case against Warren, just in the polygamists for child abuse in the Utah Arizona border.

I mean, mask on, merch popper. The case I represented the young man who shot Father Maurice Blackwell. I mean it goes on and on and on.

And you mentioned mask. Well isn't that father mask. And isn't that the case that is highlighted in the series. The keepers on Netflix. It is.

Well, all right. Well that's an amazing case. And perhaps that'll be one of the cases you talked to us on Best Case Worse Case about.

That's correct. I've selected two cases because tragically we learned 18 months ago that there was some commonality of criminal activity between both.

Okay. Well let's start off with your best case. And we'd like you to tell us first what kind of case this is sexual abuse involving many students.

Okay. So this was at a school then. Yes it was. Okay. It was at a middle school in the archdiocese of Baltimore.

Okay. All right. And how did this case come to you? How did it come to your attention? Well in a very unusual way. I heard a young lady scheduled for an appointment with me. And she showed up and she was scared to death.

She stated that she had a relative who was a private investigator and they told her it's safer to go to the serial law firm than to the police.

Wow. And what happened when she came to you? Well I interviewed her and a few others in a very short period of time and realized fairly quickly that we were dealing with a monster who abused dozens of students by raping them, retening them with guns, threatening to kill them, their families, you name it.

Wow. He raped boys, he raped girls and he threatened each one. But if they ever told they would die, they were scared to death.
