Hey, guys, this is David Pollock here. Excited to be with you filling in this week for

Joby Martin and Kyle Thompson. And I'm going to share a little bit about my story and some

important things to me. Going to start with the Word of God and really how I viewed the Word

of God when I was little and how it started to change as I've gotten older. When I was little, I didn't have any faith and I didn't go to church. And then once I started to read the Bible, I wanted to figure it out. And I thought it was something that people talked about with, hey, this is what they believed. This is their truth. But how did I know it was really truth? And I think that

was one of the things that was cool that I started to ask some questions. And, you know, one of the guys I was sitting down with, he was like, hey, man, how do you know that George Washington was the first president? I'm like, because of the history books. And he was like, well, that's what the Bible is. The Bible is a history book. And as we started to unravel that, man, it was really

fun to learn the history book. And as we started to unravel that, man, it was really

fun to learn about this book that was written by 40 plus authors, over a 1,500 year period point, right?

But these 66 books that were in there, the consistency across the books, all of it pointing to

Jesus, the Messiah who was to come. And I wanted

to know more about that. And as I started to read, man, I started to realize the Bible is a playbook,

right? So I equated it to football. Every situation that I get in life, it has the answer for me.

It tells me what I need to do, what I need to

pursue. And I think as we continue to be Christians and as we continue to chase God and

chase greatness, like, we need to understand. For a long time, I was checking a box, right? Like,

I read it, got up in the morning, got it done. And then I started to realize, man, instead of reading the Bible for information,

and instead of letting it become repetitive, I know this story, I've read it.

I realized, man, once I got up in the morning and I put that in my heart,

it continued to come out of my mouth all day long.

And that was so important. And we know in 2nd Timothy 3,

16 and 17, it tells us all scripture is God breathes, right? And it's for teaching,

for reproof, for correction, for training and righteousness. Like, this is not just a thing that
