0:06.5

Welcome back to another special Friday edition of Optimal Health Daily, where I answer your

0:11.3

health questions related to fitness, diet and nutrition, and lots more. You send in the questions,

0:17.1

and I answer them for you. Now, once a month, usually during the first Q&A episode of the month,

0:22.5

I mention a bit about my background and credentials so you can better understand where my

0:27.4

perspectives come from. And given this is the first Q&A of the month, it's time. While I've

purpose.

1:13.6

bases, I also became a registered dietitian nutritionist, a certified health education specialist,

1:20.1

and a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine.

1:25.5

I've been teaching in higher education for a long time now,

1:29.2

and I'm currently faculty within the California State University system. I've published peer-reviewed

1:35.1

studies, presented at national and international conferences, and have been interviewed by

1:41.1

over 70 different media outlets for my expertise on basically

1:45.1

everything I talk about on this podcast. So again, all of this to say that when I provide my

1:50.8

commentary after each episode and I answer the questions you send in like today, I hope you feel
