This week, in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, when a woman is found, beyond murdered, the only suspect appears to be her mother in law, a physically weak older woman, who has been in and out of mental hospitals for years. But could she have actually done all the horrible things that have happened? When another suspect emerges, the detectives begin to fight each other, over the differing theories. It turns into a mess of theories, conspiracies, and stupidity. Will whoever is responsible be uncovered, or will a seriously sick, twisted killer continue to walk the streets??
Along the way, we find out that the northeast is REALLY into haunted houses, that grandmas don't usually beat their victims so severely that an eye pops out, and that sometimes, evidence is more important than ego!!
