Robert, we have a very special episode today, so for the first time in this podcast's history,

we're going to get right to a good sir.

Absolutely. I'm super stoked about this one. Nessel near the

southernmost point of California are the stark stunning and utterly inhospitable

environs known as the Anza Barago Desert State Park.

Dangerous for all the myriad reasons deserts are usually avoided,

blistering heat, treacherous landscapes,

the constant threat of dehydration, and of course an abundance of venomous species.

The arid heelscape that is the valley region of the Anza Barrego also boasts an array of lesser

known, though no less lethal predators. These threats come in the form of a crazy

coalition of bizarre beings, inexplicable illuminations, alien interlopers, sinister spectres,

UFOs of all shapes and size,

and a contingent of colossal and clearly carnivorous creatures

known by the most insidious of their ilk,

the vicious and voracious Barrego Sandman.

The often deadly nexus of high strangeness occupied by these enigmatic entities is a trilateral

region within the desert lowlands and more temperate wooded elevations of the park,

an area that has come to be known as the Barrego Triangle.
