Welcome to the Jim Rome Podcast and welcome to episode number 327 where my guest this week was a staple of the National Football

League for essentially four decades.

He was a member of one of the most dominant teams in NFL history.

He played and coached in the

Super Bowl. He is a two-time NFL coach of the year. He has none other than

Ron Rivera. Ron of course played nine seasons for the Chicago Bears. He was a part of that

historically dominant 85 defense. He then coached in Carolina who he of course led to

a Super Bowl appearance as well. He was to head coach to the commanders all the way through last season.

I have always enjoyed speaking with Ron so I had to try to grab some extended time with

him and because he is the best he granted me that extended chat so let's get right to it

First of all, how are you feeling and what's keeping you busy?

Well, I'm doing real well.

I'm feeling pretty good these days. You know, I have my three-year scan a while back, so things are, you know, head in the right direction, so that's a good thing. A lot of things are keeping me busy. You know, I've gotten involved with a couple of charities where I'm on the board and

helping them out as much as I can and did a little bit of traveling with the family and the wife and then golf. That's about it for the

for the most part.
