Today we're going to be talking about what to do when a guy likes you and you don't really like them back and how awkward that can be and what you're supposed to do about that kind of stuff.

But let's jump into today's question that was sent via Instagram DM by, well we're not going to say her her name but thanks girl for sending this message

she said I have a question what do you do if a guy like shoe and you don't like him back you

think he's amazing and sweet but you only see him as a friend you don't want to

mess at that friendship but you also don't want to hurt his feelings.

Okay, this is a two-part question and we're going to go ahead and start with well, okay, we'll start with the second half just for the sake of starting with the second half but she says the main reason why she doesn't want to say anything is because she doesn't want to mess up the friendship

But she also doesn't want to hurt us feelings. This can be a really difficult situation. I feel like this happens with so many different scenarios where we don't want to mess up the friendship.

Now, I don't want to encourage anybody to just be crazy careless with their friendships and to not care what happens to their friendships, but I do want to encourage us to not put

friendships on such a high pedestal that we don't consider people's feelings as well.

Because it may seem like it could be awkward to tell this guy,

hey, I don't like you because that can mess up the friendship.

But what can also mess up a friendship

is knowing how you feel about someone

and not letting them know and kind of leading them on and not letting them know how you actually feel.

I mean that can be just as damaging if not more damaging to a friendship.

Honesty is always the best policy.
