Hello friends, welcome back to The Hamilkast.

I'm Jillian. We're picking up this week where we left off with the magical Hamilton

prop master and TikTok legend, Jay Duckworth. Last week was a packed episode. Jay talks about

getting into the theater industry as a prop master, the importance of walking into the room

with everything you've got, what goes into making all the things you see on stage,

his first interactions with Hamilton coming to be, and so much more.

So let's get right back into it. Here's part two of my conversation with Jay Duckworth.

Because I was ahead of props, it was one of my shows.

And so I started looking over the script and then making up

prop lists and trying to make a budget for it. And I knew because it was a very important

musical to us at the theater, but at the prop shop, but at every department,

that I wanted to make sure that they had everything in that room the first day.

So they had as much as possible for the first day of rehearsing.

And it was a process where you were working with some of the best artists you've ever worked with

because everybody was at their top of the game. And like you said, we live in a hundred.

These are all alpha women and alpha men doing what they love on a project that we all know

is going to be something spectacular. How binkly who just passed recently, the Linus Einer,

I've known it. I knew him from the early 90s. And it was just so great. Oh, even better,
