Summary

Men, be smart, not just tough. I share a story about a guy who wouldn’t take no for an answer and how I handled it. I also talk about LeBron James confronting Stephen A. Smith and what we can learn from it. Being tough isn’t always the right move—sometimes, being smart is the real power. game. My name is Drey Baldwin, also known as Dre All Day, and welcome to the show. And today's

1:34.8

topic is, for the men specifically, be smart, not tough. And this topic actually is timely for a

couple reasons. One, first of all, what I just talked about in yesterday's episode and being smart enough to know when to take no for an answer. And I told you, a situation where a overzealous business solicitor didn't know when to walk away from me when I told him to walk away from me. And I confronted him in a way that could have led to a physical altercation, which I was prepared for, but didn't have to go that way. I mean, I could have not responded the way that I did it, but I did it as a conscious decision. And at the same time, on top of that point, I was just watching on today on social media. There's a basketball player by name of LeBron James. Most of you know who he is, even if you don't follow basketball. And there's a sports, I guess we'll call this guy talking head slash analyst slash influencer, reporter. I don't know what title he gets. His name is Stephen A. Smith. Now, Stephen A. Smith is not a journalist because I've read his writing. He's not a very good writer. He's not really a beat reporter. He's just a guy who gets on TV and talks about what's happening in the sports

row and he's very popular. Maybe the most popular person talking about the NBA that there is today. I don't know if he's the best, but he's the most popular. Now, Stephen A was at a basketball game, but L.A. Lakers were playing a home game.

2:31.4

So Stephen A. was or is in L.A., at least as of this recording, he was in L.A. at the game.

2:36.2

Sitting in the front row when the game ended, LeBron James, this clip went viral on social media. LeBron walked up to Stephen A. And it appears, again, I didn't hear LeBron say anything yet, at least as far as I've seen. LeBron hasn't talked about it, but he approached Stephen A. Smith, and it appeared that LeBron was upset with Stephen A. Smith over some comments that Stephen A. had made on the air about LeBron's actions around getting his son. His son is named LeBron James Jr. And he goes for sure he goes by Brony James. His son is in the NBA on the LA Lakers
