Today we got a brand new speaker on the show.

We've got Martha Beck teaching you how to use gradual exposure to create calm in the face of fear.

Here's Martha.

So self calming is the first tool that you should use to calm your fears and to create so much

more powerful effects in the world.

The second thing is something called graduated exposure.

This means I finally graduated from Harvard and I feel better.

Now it doesn't.

It means you gradually expose yourself to the things you're frightened of.

And without knowing it when I was 14 I started doing that.

I started going into situations that frighten me and then realizing I was still alive.

Now recently I've been well actually not so recently.

For the last 10 years I've been working with another life coach who is also a horse whisperer.

And for my birthday couple of weeks ago she took me out to work with a badly abused

horse.

This horse is terrified of being caught and has never let anyone touch her.

So and it's the funny thing is once you've learned to calm yourself down calming another

being is one of the most rewarding things you can do.
