Over the years and the decades in the people, you know, and it's, honestly, I haven't really done anything.

I've been fortunate to recruit some good players. I thank the Lord for health and longevity.

And, you know, I think of the coaches that we we've had and it's because of people like that

and I think their commitment to what we were all trying to achieve that that was a good deal. Welcome into the Hogfight.

Norm DeBriant didn't just coach Arkansas baseball.

He built the program.

As you look at Norm DeBryan out there, number 23,

he has done a tremendous job at the University of Arkansas.

DeBriand took over the head job at Arkansas in the early 70s.

It's one of the really nice guys in college baseball.

Now, decades after taking over at just 28 years old, he's being honored with induction

into the College Baseball Hall of Fame.

I didn't know what was going to happen, and I was shot.

When DeBriotton arrived in Fayetteville, Arkansas baseball looked nothing like he does today.

It was an afterthought.

Resources were limited, and sometimes so were uniforms.

Back in the day when you were just trying to survive or whatever, we didn't have enough uniforms, so I wore a red sample uniform from Wilson

to fill out the roster you had to have a uniform.

I think I burned it after the game.

Over the next three decades, DeBryon helped elevate the program into a national powerhouse, laying the

foundation for what Razorback Baseball has become today.
