I kind of said all right I'll let you manage this kind of feel me in what's going on I really am kind of clueless in all of this so it's gotten better over the years at the beginning there was a lot of clashing with it just because he was so into it and I was so, wait, why do we have to do all of this all the time?

And it ended up being one of the situations when he could see so much more the bigger picture

than I could and over time I'm like oh that's why we've been doing it this way you know it

it was I remember you know being in the grocery store as a newlywed and like putting things back on the shelf because it was putting me over my budget.

So I had my calculator in one hand and my list in the other and like being almost in tears because I'm like, I can make this work but by doing that in the beginning and being

so much more responsible with our budget and our spreadsheets and having those long discussions at the dining room table for years, it slowly began to make more sense to me.

And the benefits have obviously been coming in much more over the years.

And her input of why do we have to be so hard on ourselves with this stuff all of the time

helped me understand that like, hey, there's a little bit more to this than just money and and so we kind of joke around and say that she's the she's the

jelly to the peanut butter in the sandwich, right?

Like, so we compliment each other in that way.
