We're in the middle of a series of episodes that were recorded on Kauaii.

This episode is the second part of an interview with professional

MMA fighter, professional surfer, and activist Dustin Barka. I'd encourage you to go back and

listen to Part 1, if you haven't already before proceeding with this episode. In part 1,

Dustin shares his origin story about growing up in Kauai, the influences that shaped him,

him achieving his goal of surfing on the world championship tour, and how he dealt with the loss

of his good friend Andy Irons. All of that helps provide a better context for our conversation

here, which focuses more on his political ambitions, his activism,

running for mayor, and a lot of what you've seen of him in the last five years.
