Greta Thunberg is in the news again after sharing her support for Gaza and

somehow linking it to the climate and also sharing an anti-Semitic octopus, but I'll get on to that.

I wanted to analyze the rise and rise of one of the most divisive figures on the planet, Greta Thunberg.

And I don't know if it's Tunberg or Thunberg, so I'm going somewhere between.

To some, Greta is a shining light who shines light on social inequalities and in particular climate change.

To others she's a symbol of everything that is wrong with a certain kind of virtue signaling, empty platitudes, and

narcissism.

When she first came to the fore at the age of just 15 I remember thinking that she was mildly And I didn't want to jump on the bandwagon of people attacking her because I didn't want to attack a 15 year old autistic girl, right?

It just didn't seem necessary.

Some people went full in on her.

I don't think that was necessary at all.

She's nearly 21 now, and while I don't want to be mean, I do want to take a look at some of her,

well, some of her views from a nuanced perspective, some of her behavior of course as well and more

importantly the behaviors of those around her who have pushed her to stardom in what I think is an irresponsible manner

culminating in a photo put out today in which she quite incredibly links

pro-Garsa support with climate change.

So I'll get into quite how that's come to be
