Bob, the circus continues.

Yes, the circus came to the Road to Now this week.

We had Mark McKinnon, the creator, co-creator and co-producer and co-host of the great, even though it doesn't still run,

I just always attribute him to it because it was, it was one of the greatest, I think, political shows we had for a number of the years that it was on, the circus, it was on

Showtime. I wish they could bring it back. But anyway, Mark is also a writer at Vanity Fair.

And after the election, he wrote a great essay. It's a short essay. It's an open letter to my daughters.

And we so loved that essay that we asked Mark to come on. And I think our listeners are in for a treat because Mark's going to read that

essay for everybody today. That's right. And for those of you who were perhaps thinking, wow,

these guys have not talked about the election at all.

Just an update. I've said this before in an introduction, but I just want to clarify, we recorded a lot of episodes at the end of October. And so we launched them afterwards. We didn't really,

I don't think we really thought this through. But so a lot of these,

the newer ones that have come out in the last few weeks have been ones that we recorded before.

This is our first one launching after the election. And if you were wondering if we were going to

talk about it, here you go. We do all at once. And we've got another great episode coming up
