What's going on everybody and welcome back for another episode of Trigger. This is Triggered episode number 320.

We're here on Thursday, October 7th, and once it's been started, we got first up the debt ceiling.

So, a lot of consternation about this on the right side of the aisle, as Mitch McConnell has seen to be caving to the Democrats on this debt limit deal.

I'm not thrilled about it, but the one positive

is that it very succinctly defines what this increase is. Okay. It's not a time limit suspension.

It's an exact amount, $480 billion, which will allow the government to pay the bills in full until early December.

But the thing that annoys me is we had them right where we wanted them, right?

And then he blinked.

Yeah.

Now, the thing that I just learned right before we started to record this is that apparently there's not 10 Republicans to vote for

it. Oh. Yeah. So, and that seems... You got a problem. And that seems odd to me. Because normally Mitch

would always make sure the ducks are in a row before offering a deal like that. I mean, for God's sake, he voted to

support an infrastructure bill that is not paid for, so why not get behind this?

Well, the thing is, like, this is going to have to be done regardless. He should have forced them to do the reconciliation, which was what it was going to be. But, you know, if they don't have the Republican votes to do this, like, you know, they're not going to be able to do it. Dead in the water. Dead in the water. Let's see what else
