Today, Mary Lee Tracy was the new coordinator of the US Elite Developmental Program for some reason, and then suddenly wasn't anymore, resulting in the long-awaited resignation of the incompetent box of

scarves that had been running USA Gymnastics for the last nine months. And we

desperately need to work through this as a Jimternet family. This is a special Spencer blogcast for September 5th, 2018, and welcome

Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. So on Tuesday, August 28th, several lifetimes ago, USA Gymnastics announced fresh-faced newcomer Mary Lee Tracy as the latest coordinator of the

U.S. Elite Developmental Program, the same position that Valery Lucan held in the late

Marta Dynasty, circa 2012 to 2016, and that Tom Forster held in 2017, and now Maryly

Tracy, proving once again that USAG has no idea what's happening in any given moment and has listened to no one ever.

Surprise, surprise, I had some issues with choosing Mary Lee Tracy for this position, including but not limited to her status as an insider in a program that desperately needs outsiders,

Mary Lee Tracy has been a loyal USAG soldier for decades, a public supporter of Marta, a public supporter of the ranch, and at a time

when USAG needs to bring in coaches who don't like the organization to present actual contrary

viewpoints it instead folded in on itself once again and selected someone who was

very much part of the club rotating in and out the same damn people again and again

because of course it did.

And that's not even beginning the stuff with Larry Nassar.

So famously in December 2016, Mary Lee Tracy

went out of her way in an interview

to express how amazing he was and how the people she knows all had a great experience with him.

This is December 2016, so at this point we already knew about Rachel Den Hollander,

Jamie Dancher filed a Jane Doe suit in September of 2016.
