| 0:00.0 | Hello. Hello. How are you? I'm good. How are you? I mean this sincerely. |
| 0:07.2 | I'm okay. I'm okay. This pandemic sucks. I think everybody who listens to the show and you are very astute. |
| 0:15.0 | You know, I'm not one for corniness, but I mean this to everybody out there listening. |
| 0:20.0 | I hope everybody's all right. It's more stressful than it has been in a long time because of the uncertainty. Don't you think? |
| 0:27.0 | Yes. That's 100% it. I was on the phone with my mom yesterday. It was her birthday. Happy birthday to my mom. Shout out to her. She's awesome. |
| 0:35.0 | And my parents are in their 70s and they're in good health and my mom especially. But she's worried about this other surge and she lives in a state Georgia where people don't take stuff as seriously as they should. |
| 0:48.0 | And there's drama right now where one of the major school systems doesn't even have mask mandates most of them do fortunately. And she's wanting to investigate getting a booster and whatnot. |
| 1:00.0 | And she made appointments for them for the end of next week with the hope that there will be an announcement by then that people who are older will be able to go ahead and get a booster because right now the guidelines are if you're immunocompromised. |
| 1:12.0 | So like if you have like a big form of cancer or like a transplant or something like that. Right. |
| 1:18.0 | They'll go ahead and the CDC has approved it. But she's just kind of waiting. I guess for that next level. They're saying eight months and she would be a little bit before then, but just trying to kind of figure out. |
| 1:29.0 | Well, are they saying eight months because that's when it's safe? Where is it because that's like a supply constraint? |
| 1:35.0 | There's all sorts of ways that people are immunocompromised. I and aunt who had MS for decades and you never had a transplant, but took similar drugs that people who've had organ transplants take. |
| 1:49.0 | It was part of the regime of mitigating the symptoms of MS. It's also stressful. It's like overall the situation is better even today with the Delta with everything that's going on. |
| 2:02.0 | It is still better than it was at the worst points of this pandemic. But the uncertainty really reminds me of the early months of the pandemic. |
| 2:13.0 | Yes. |
| 2:14.0 | I would argue in some ways it almost feels worse because you're right. It is better than it was at like the worst parts of the pandemic. |
| 2:20.0 | But we had this period where we were kind of coming out of it and we were starting to assimilate and go back to normal. And now we're in this period where not only do we have the uncertainty that I agree with you at similar to the beginning, but then you have this added stress of the PTSD that we all have of remember what it was before. |
| 2:37.0 | And we were just doing more normal things. Now can we can we not like it is shitty. |
| 2:44.0 | I'm so super super lucky. Both of my parents are still in good health and they listen. They read the news. They do what's recommended. They say you should wear masks. They wear masks. They say you should get vaccinated. |
| 2:58.0 | They signed up as soon as they could. But I'm worried about him. I really am because you look at the statistics. And truly one of the things that it seems not in question is even if vaccinated. |
| 3:12.0 | If you're above 65 or so, you're still at a fairly significant risk. You're more likely to catch it. And if you do, you're still significantly more likely to have a bad run of it. |
| 3:27.0 | Yeah, exactly. And I like you I worry too. And my parents are in good health like I said, but it's a concern. And so that is the stress. But. |
