Hey guys, welcome back to drinking from the toilet. I'm your host, Hannah Branigan.

0:18.0

This episode is going to be another in our series of exploring concepts and language we use

0:24.2

when we're talking about training and behavior, particularly in the area of fluency, particularly

0:28.5

because, well, when we're dog trainers or training animals, we do want to understand the nature

0:34.5

of behavior and how it fits into the world and biology, but we

0:38.4

also want to go a step further and talk about the applied side of things. And we want to know,

0:43.8

well, we want to know how to control behavior, how to change it, to squish it around and make

0:48.6

0:53.8

stuff, or valuable prizes.

0:56.4

1:20.3

geeky and I kind of love getting into the nerdy details of my favorite subjects,

1:26.2

but also because I've found over time that it often ends up

1:32.0

giving me a word to talk about some phenomenon that I've already observed or something I've

1:37.0

already noticed and I've been wondering about.

1:40.0

And I didn't know it was a thing.

1:41.5

And then I learned this new concept with the new word associated and I find out, oh, there's

1:47.3

a word for that.

1:49.0

The German language is really good at that kind of thing.
