Most commentators, though aware of the possibility of feat being a euphemism, run with it as a reference to literal feet. Ruth

is being instructed to uncover the man's tutsies and lie beneath them, assuming that

his uncovered feet will grow cold and he will wake up to cover them only to find a woman

lying there. And Ruth is then to await whatever instructions he would give her.
