Before we dive in to today's conversation, we want you to know that we understand that this conversation is overdue.

For people of color, especially our black and brown listeners, you are on our minds and our hearts.

We know that our actions must meet our words if we are to stand for you and with you. Hi, Bailey. Hi, Mom. How are you doing? I'm good. I'm looking forward to our

conversation today. Yeah, so today we are going to be talking about the Black Lives Matter

movement, what we're doing, reading, listening to, and kind of just sharing some of the things

that we've learned and think it's important for you to know.

Yeah, this is something that you and I have been talking about behind the scenes,

and we thought it might be helpful for you guys to hear the kind of things

that we're thinking about and talking about and doing to make change not only in our own lives, but hopefully in the world.

Yeah. And I know we've gotten a few messages over the past week about like, where are we and

why aren't we here on this Monday? And we both thought that it was important to leave room and space for these really important

conversations to happen and give us time to learn more before we said anything really about this.

Like we really want to have an educated conversation about this movement and about the steps that we're

taking to be part of the

change that needs to happen. That said, we have way more to learn. And I feel like even though

we've been working on this for a while, I mean, even before this all happened, this is going to be an ongoing process, something that I think will become

woven into our lives permanently. Yeah, I a thousand percent agree. So why are we talking

about this? We are both running a company of one. We are solopreneurs.
