Hey, everyone, it's Matt Harmon.

Before we jump into the show today, I just didn't feel right to do a whole show on football and not address and not acknowledge the situation that took place, the shooting that took place during the Kansas City Chief's Super Bowl parade.

Just, it's a situation that is all too familiar for us at this point, unfortunately.

And I know that this podcast and football in general is an escape for myself, for so many of you.

And I think it is important to hold space.

I think that is our job to hold space

and be that escape for people. Unfortunately, because of where we are, our places of escape are,

it is impossible to truly escape. Clearly, as we've seen, this is something that happens again, all too often in so many

walks of life right now.

And it happened, it's in something that's so close to our world here right after during

a Super Bowl parade. And, you know, I can't stop thinking about

the people who have been affected, the children who were taken to hospitals, the people who

were injured, the people who lost their lives. So again, I felt it was inappropriate to not

acknowledge that off the top here and just send out all of the heartfelt

wishes and well wishes to those people affected and that our thoughts are are with them and

just I'm as frustrated as anybody I'm as I'm as angry as anyone I'm as I'm as sad as anyone and

I know you all are too.

So again, those thoughts are with,

are with everyone affected the entire community.

And I just hope we can,

hope we can see a day where we don't have to have these disclaimers

at the top of a football podcast because these
