Summary

Today's show is a little different than they typical episode. On September 30th, 2017, the New Hampshire Association for Behavior Analysis will be hosting its 3rd annual conference (tickets are available here). In order to promote this event, and more generally, highlight the great work that NH ABA does, I put together a sequence of five mini-interviews with all of the conference speakers. This year's line-up is great. We will feature a Keynote address from Dr. Greg Hanley, and a closing Distinguished Speaker presentation from Dr. Mark Sundberg. Between these talks, we'll hear from Dr. Derek Reed, Caitlin Kirkwood, and Michael Miklos. In this episode, you'll hear about what they will talk about, but you can also click here to access the conference brochure. The conference is a fantastic value. The early-bird price of $99 gets you 6.5 CEU's, a buffet lunch (yes, there is a free lunch), and opportunities to meet and network with fellow behavior analysts. 0:34.3	our third annual conference in Bedford, New Hampshire, on September 30th, 2017.
0:41.1	So we've got a great lineup. And so what I figured to do is instead of doing a long-form interview with one person,
0:47.9	what I did was contact each speaker at the event and do a brief interview with them. So I actually ask the same questions
0:56.7	of all five speakers. And the idea is to just get an idea of who they are, what they do for a living,
1:03.6	what they're talking about, and kind of why it's relevant to what we do as practitioners,
1:09.1	and also suggest some readings that we can do ahead of time so
1:13.1	we can get the most out of the experience. So I hope you enjoy this kind of departure from our
1:18.9	regular format here and I think it'll be fun. To talk about the conference just for a second,
1:25.0	the conference features a wide variety of speakers, and some of
1:30.9	them are some names that you'll be familiar with if you're a long-time listener to the show.
1:35.5	The keynote address will be given by none other than Greg Hanley, who, as you know, has been on
1:40.2	the show a couple of times. Derek Reed will also be speaking on behavioral economics,
1:44.5	and Derek certainly was featured in session 17 of the show. We've got Mike Meclos from the
1:49.7	Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network. We also have a great talk from
1:55.6	Caitlin Kirkwood, who is one of Dr. Kathleen Piazza's doctoral students at the University of Nebraska Monroe Myers Institute.
