Today, on the world's only Rock and Roll talk show, we've got an interview and a live performance

from producer, composer, John Bryan, in front of a live audience here at Chicago Public Radio.

Jim, very exciting to have John Bryan actually get out of Los Angeles anytime anywhere

to do a performance for us.

He does not perform outside of Los Angeles very often.

He is one of the music industry's secret weapons.

One of the great producers of the last decade, records by Amy Mann, Fiona Apple,

Koney West's last album, also a terrific soundtrack composer

mainly for Paul Thomas Anderson's movies

and a great performer in his own right.

Plus we're going to look at Greg the last installment allegedly, people are saying there

might be more, but the fifth and apparently final record by Johnny Cash in the American

recording series that he did with Rick Rubin, one of the great

final acts of an already stellar career and I believe you're going to lay a

Desert Island jukebox track on us. But first as always we have some news. The biggest music news story of the week, the big fish should play the ones
