| 1:12.6 | I am DJ Wingard here joining you for another episode of the pod. And today we will be running through my favorite value selections for all 32 teams in their respective 2026 NFL draft classes. |
| 1:23.9 | Last week we did favorite scheme fits. So that's taking away kind of the value component. How do I think these guys fit into their offensive or defensive schemes? Today we are going to go back to both my board, consensus board, kind of overall where I thought these guys would go. So this is much more of a subjective video in my opinion versus the fits video. But nonetheless, I think this is kind of a little bit more up my alley at that same point, too, |
| 1:46.4 | just kind of talking about and gaming out the NFL draft and who I think played the board the best. |
| 1:51.0 | And that's something I always like to examine and reevaluate after the end of the NFL draft. |
| 1:56.9 | So I'm excited to bring this video your way. |
| 1:58.7 | I'd love to hear your thoughts on who you thought was the best value selection from your squad's draft class or who do you think maybe some of the biggest day three steals were. I think that's a fun conversation we can have down below in the comment section. All right, well, let's waste no time. Let's jump right into it with the AFC East and Skylar Bell will kick things off with the Buffalo Bills. Man, getting him on day three, I really thought he would be a late second, maybe a third round guy. This team actually had a couple different people I could have gone with. Caleb Elmsor from TCU, I think that's an interesting fit. But ultimately decided to go Skylar Bell because so much of his skill set, I think logically makes a lot of sense to be a Cle Shikir, my memory holds is 26. And like, they gave him a relatively, you know, recent extension. So I don't think they're looking to kick him out anytime soon. But this affords you the luxury and the availability to be able to do that this year, next year, two years down the line, whatever that case may be. And there's also a scheme that has utilized this type of skill set really well. And also do think there's some Z potentials. So too, like could this guy learn from DJ Moore and be an extra benefit down the line for this Bill's team in that type of role playing on the outside? I think that's certainly possible. And again, I thought he would be a late second, early third round kind of guy. And they get him in the fourth round on day three. Absolutely love that. Dolphins, this is one where a lot of picks. There's a lot of different choices. But to me, like, pretty firmly, this was going to be Chris Bell. I was saying the entire draft cycle, this is a first round talent. It's just with an injury discount. You're going to probably get them in the second round. And they got them even better than that. They got on late third, 91st overall if memory holds. So absolutely love that. |
| 3:58.2 | It's a team that needed, needed a receiver talent both inside and out. But specifically, they had next to no outside wide receiver talent. Like Jalen Tolbert was slotted in to be like one of their top outside guys. So love the spot where they get, you know, I think a first round talent. Still some work to be done on how he, you know, tracks the football, how he adjust to off target passes, the route running. All that still is a work on progress. But the size speed combination, all that to me. And what we have seen in him specifically as a yards after the catch threat, a guy who can use his size to his advantage down the field. |
| 4:15.3 | To me, that was a guy who should have gone first round if he didn't have the injury. So absolutely love the value there. And it's a team that needed more receiver talent. So I love it where they got Chris Bell and I think he's going to be a standout player for them sooner rather than later. the Patriots, you know, I try not to do too much of the, you know, overlapping picks, you know, |
| 4:49.4 | and Gabe Atkins was my favorite scheme fit, but also I thought a guy that could have been interesting. Could he have snuck in late first round, you know, like the lines trade back? That could have been a possibility, you know, if the Bears really liked him at 25 and, you know, let's say, Dylan Thineman was off the board, that wouldn't have shocked me. If the Seattle Seahawks loved him at 32 and felt like they could wait on running back that would have been a fun fit so there were a lot of places that like late first and then like I thought he might be a guy that a team just loves the versatility the the work ethic the overall football character wouldn't have shocked me if he ended up going to you know New Orleans top of the second round or somewhere in that range. The dolphins, you know, the overall football character, wouldn't have shocked me if he ended up going to, you know, New Orleans top of the second round or somewhere in that range. |
