Today, the Bible Study podcast starts a study of the Gospel of John.

0:16.1

Welcome to the Bible Study podcast.

0:18.0

I'm your host, Chris Christensen.

0:19.9

Before we get into a study on the

0:21.9

gospel of John, I want to talk about John versus the synoptic gospels, and that is the gospels,

0:28.2

Matthew, Mark, and Luke are called the synoptic gospels. They tend to try and deal with

1:31.0

flesh. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the

1:37.7

beginning. Through Him all things were made. Without him, nothing was made that has been made.

1:43.1

In him was life and that life was the light of all mankind.

1:47.4

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

1:52.4

So if we compare this to the beginning of the other gospels, we get two of the gospels that start
