There are more than 250,000 cold cases in America.

Only a handful of those make national headlines.

Even the most active true crime aficionado is only familiar with the same few cases that echo through the true crime genre.

And in a time where media attention can solve cases, familiarity matters.

Without it, cases get buried and over time freeze over.

You know this, I know this, but I also lived it.

I've spent the last five years completely consumed by the unsolved murder of my father,

John Cornelius McGee, reading reports, tracking down witnesses,

meeting face-to-face with suspects.

Against all odds, I was able to get the world to care about someone who was never seen as a perfect victim. My interest in helping families and loved ones affected by crime has become an obsession.

Now I want to share just some of the cases that deserve to be captivated by your curiosity.

Some may have entered your algorithm, but most you've never heard of before.

Because these cases are ice cold.
