a quick minute for three stat facts about neural tube defects.

So one is that pregnant individuals are advised to avoid hot tubs and saunas early in pregnancy

as elevated body temperatures increase the risk for neural tube defects.

Stat fact number two, since folic acid fortification was mandated in 1998, neural tube birth defects
