I'm a little frazzled today Tim because the Bluetooth stopped working on my computer.

The internet went down, my computer froze. So I'm just trying to get myself back on the

old saddle and ride that horse again. That's me being perfectly transparent. How are you?

I hope my frazzledness isn't bringing you down. No, I'm doing great. I'm excited about this

episode. This case is a recent case. It is unresolved. It is about the mysterious death of a man named Val DuVrer.

In this episode, we speak with investigative reporter from WECT in Wilmington, North Carolina. His name is Michael Pratt's

and he's doing a great job uncovering facts, clues about Val's death and it's a complicated case

Lance. So Val was originally reported missing by his father on April 12th of 2022. The police spoke

with him on April 17th. Just about five days later, they spoke with him about a call and

there's some body cam footage. We'll play some of it and Michael describes this incident in the

interview. But Val was unfortunately found dead the very next day. I'm just shocked and confused why

it didn't show up to those police officers that Val had been reported missing. Right because the police

officers arrived at what was allegedly the attempted break in of a nursing home where Val and apparently

another person had been called in as potential trespassers. So the police showed up. There's body camera

footage that's been released. Michael Pratt says, obtain that. They've released it on WECT.com so you can find that.

And when Val's name was run, your issue is why didn't that come up as someone who has been registered as a

missing person and subsequently taken into custody, taken to family, something should have happened

there. Val claimed that he was being chased, which is why he was at the nursing home trying to get

into a lit area or trying to get to us a place that was safe because he was being chased by people that he

didn't know. And when you look at the video, you see that he's out of breath. You see that there's an issue going on.

But he's not acting like somebody who is under the influence of any sort of drugs or alcohol. He just seems like he's
