It'll advisedly. Who are we talking to today, James?

We're talking to Katja Hoyer. I'm very excited about this. Katja is a German historian.

She's written, he hugely acclaimed and well received, Blood and Iron, which is the rise

of all of the German Empire from 1871 to 1918. So, the second Reich, rather than the third

Reich, but she knows lots about everything and all things German. And we're absolutely

delighted that you've come on. And Katja, I should also say that you've been living in Britain

haven't you for the last ten years, you have done in Sussex. And you are most welcome on

the podcast.

Yeah, yeah, in Sussex at the moment. So, very much so, the idea was really only to come

over, do what all good foreigners do, use the education system and go again. And then,

you know, before you know it, you live in a house, you got a cat and you're settled and

lovely Sussex.

Yeah, lovely part of the world, fantastic. I've just read Blood and Iron. I mean, not this

weekend, the weekend before. And I absolutely, I absolutely loved it. And it did the job

of filling in a lot of the gaps and also coloring in some of the things that, you know, maybe
