I feel like after we hit that second short-term rental, like we crossed that finish line with the ribbon at the end of a race.

It's like, all right, we are officially financially free.

We don't need to work anymore.

Like, can go sit on a beach.

We're so happy with our small and mighty portfolio of long-term rentals and short-term rentals.

Instead of diving deep and go into all the details of one particular deal, today's guest, we're going to go into a deep dive of his entire real estate investing journey over an eight-year period and give you these details that a lot of people don't talk about. You often hear about how they got started. You often hear about how many properties they had in the end. But my guest today, Joe Del Grasso, we are going to talk about his journey of buying properties, the pivots he made, the life events that have happened. And I can't wait to get into the details. But first, let me welcome you, Joe. Welcome back to the show. You were on episode number 139 back in 2020. Appreciate you coming back. Yeah, thanks, Chad. It's good to be back. I've been following your journey and it's exciting to see. So it's good to just catch up again. Yeah, can't wait. And so I'm going to put a link to episode number 139. And we talked about basically the frame of that episode was the journey to buying seven condos. And you were focusing Malian condos in Knoxville, Tennessee over a five-year period. So it's a great story of getting started, pivoting. I want to take a step back, though, because some people might not have heard that, heard of your story or listen to that. If you don't mind to share some highlights of, you know, where you're from, your family, and then also your professional background. And then

we'll jump into the real estate journey as well. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm 37 now. I grew up in Boston.

I was working in television. I did a lot of unscripted TV stuff,

you know, Discovery Channel, HGTV, CMT, all that good stuff. In 2012, I moved out to L.A. to work at

Country Music Channel. I was out there for about a year. And then an opportunity came to work on a show called Impractical Jokers.

So I moved from L.A. to Knoxville, Tennessee back in 2013, I believe.

And yeah, worked in TV here in Knoxville.

I met my wife in 2015.

We got married.

You know, I come from background, you know, very blue collar.

Parents were both teachers.
