Hey everybody. Welcome to Latter Day Struggles. This is Valerie. How are you all? You can't answer that, but you can answer Nathan. Hello. How are you, Nathan?

I'm doing well. We are really happy to have a chance

to be here with you all today. And for those of you who have been paying a little bit of attention,

we sort of gave a little bit of a spoiler alert yesterday on social media that we had an important

episode that we were planning on dropping today. And that's why we're here. This is not on the schedule

yet at the same time. Some important things have unfolded in the life of Valerie and Nathan

Hamaker and our sacred and holy work that we are doing here with you connected to faith expansion,

the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And so what we're going to do today is we're going to share with you not only what has

unfolded in the last couple of weeks, but also we would like to offer to you a timeline of,

well, of what we've been through.

As we have done, you know, so much work with the podcast and with the groups and

things to help people, there's been a lot going on in the background that Valerie and I don't talk

about much, but I think we need to at this point. And so we're going to be talking about some

subjects that might veer a little differently from what we

would normally talk about.

We haven't been very forthcoming about what we've been experiencing in the last, I'd say,

maybe 18 months or so, mostly because I didn't want it to become a distraction from the work that I

care about, which is the growth and healing of you all here in and around the Church of Jesus
