Well, I started noticing cruisers behind me, following me from when I entered the city up until I left.

I got to the county line.

I thought to myself, okay, that's a little fishy.

Like, they could run my tags and they know it's me.

On today's episode of Strictly Stock and we're speaking with Bex, who joined the police force

to protect people.

But the people she needed protection from were wearing the same uniform.

It started with patrol cars lingering in her rear rear.

Officers waiting for her to drive through town so they could pull her over and

accuse her of being drunk. Then came the calls into the lieutenant's office on her nights off,

interrogations about dinners with friends, and warnings built on nothing more than a cup that

looked like it might hold alcohol. But she wasn't drinking or doing anything wrong, and harassment

only intensified as she watched her own department mishandle stalking and harassment

cases, cases just like hers.

When you were growing up, did you always want to be a police officer?

I actually did.

I was that nerdy kid that, you know, most kids want to be an astronaut or a ballerina. But I had this obsession with every Friday night watching cops on TV. And that's what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a cop my entire life.
