0:20.3	All right, guys, let's close out the week. This week has been about clarity.
0:24.3	Culture says masculinity is toxic. The Bible says something very different, and we've been comparing
0:29.8	both voices in order to establish a grounded alternative to toxic masculinity, and that is tethered
0:35.6	masculinity. So tethered masculinity, it's the identity and actions of a man
0:40.5	submitted to the authority of scripture. So let's go to the last cultural claim number five.
0:45.7	Your convictions make you intolerant. So I just got to tell you, I agree with this cultural claim
0:52.5	completely. Like, I'm dead serious. I think they actually
0:56.4	nailed it. Because if they were to look at me and ask, you know, so you as a Christian, are you
1:02.9	against a woman's right to choose? To which I would respond, yes, I am against killing babies in the
1:08.8	wombs of their mothers. To which they would respond, you bigot!
1:12.6	And it ultimately doesn't matter what the subject is about, right?
1:16.1	It could be gay marriage or transing the kids or, you know, nanny state policies or whatever.
1:21.2	They will think you are a bigot if you hold to the same moral standard that God puts forth for humanity. And they will conclude that if you
1:30.1	believe in something so strongly, and if it is based on the Bible, that you are some narrow-minded
1:35.3	person and you're very bigoted. And ultimately, if our conviction is tethered to the word and will
1:41.3	of God, then we will be faithful to the things that God wants over everything
1:46.2	and everyone else. But here's the thing they neglect to realize, and that a lot of Christians
1:51.9	neglect to realize for that matter, tolerance is not a Christian value. It's not. Because in these cultural fights, the people advocating for tolerance are advocating for
2:05.9	sin. They're advocating for things that God hates. In Psalm 9710, one of my favorite verses says,
2:14.0	oh, you who love the Lord, hate evil. So as tethered men, we're not called to tolerate sin.
2:24.0	We're not called to give it, you know, a little bit of room to breathe. We are called to hate it
