How can conspiracy theories become a form of idolatry?

popular presuppositions of that discipline are in conflict with the Bible teaches, say that the earth is billions of

years old, that the record that you see of rock and earth and soil is really just the product of random collection of

particles in space that eventually became our planet and now you study it.

Do you have to accept those premises? Do you have to accept that the earth

is extremely ancient or that these things all happened by chance?
