It will distort your view of you and remove from you a sense of need for God's grace.

It is a seductive temptation. It is a seductive temptation that has troubled the church for generation after generation

after generation after generation.

In ways it defines the graphic difference between the religion of the Pharisees

and the gospel of the kingdom that Christ came to preach.

What is this thing I'm talking about?

Well, it has various names.

Legalism, moralism, externalism.

They are a gospel that are not the gospel.

And yet, they live amongst us.

They trouble our hearts.
