The Oh, Hello and I have one spooky story for you today and our story comes from October the 12th

2023 and today's story comes from Andrew.

When I look back at my life growing up I can pinpoint certain moments

where these strange events that took place in my childhood led to my current experiences now.

Much of my family exists because of illegitimate children born to poor but powerful women who had sons

named Andrea. And in fact the only way my last name exists is because of the last Andrea born in Sicily was able to carry

the name across the ocean in the 1930s to the US.

As I tell this story I realize that it is actually two stories that are interwoven together.

When I was born my mother was young and very much in touch with her spiritual self. She frequently had strange or paranormal experiences

that were often positive. Things like seeing or feeling a past relative near or items going missing and reappearing. Her sensitivity to other things was strong

and also existed beyond just spirits and feelings. At a young age she learned how to read

the Italian version of Tarot and honed her skill very well, to the point that she could do blind readings to people in coffee shops, both in the

United States and in Italy.

When I was born, my mother was 22.

She had been living in the United States and decided to attend a grad school program in

Siena. At the time she was dating an American and they tried to make the relationship work. But Italy in 1994 wasn't as modern as it is today and their relationship

fizzled out. My mother soon discovered that she was pregnant with me and decided like the other women of her family from the past with illegitimate children to name me Andrea.

Though for a large part of my life, it was believed that I was the son of the American whom my mother later married,

I was actually the son of somebody else, a Sicilian Air Force pilot, though this wasn't discovered till many years later when I was an adult.

When I was born, my mother and I had an incredible bond.

She spoke to me in both English and Italian and we were truly inseparable.

One day while my mother was cleaning the house, I had crawled away and while unattended, went into her purse and grabbed her tarot cards.
