Summary

While out in California for the Science and Nonduality Conference, I had some downtime before the conference started, so I decided to tape a long panel discussion with a rather large group of friends, most of them previous guests on Batgap. Sofia University in Palo Alto (where transpersonal psychology was founded by Abraham Maslow and others), generously provided a room and video equipment. I'm especially grateful to Dr. Jeffery Martin, who conducts research there, for offering and organizing this. It was an experiment, and some were skeptical that it would work, but it did! 0:41.3	But collectively we decided before starting this afternoon
0:44.3	that we wanted to just sort of spend 10 minutes in silence
0:48.3	and being a little tired and having just eaten lunch,
0:52.3	I thought that probably isn't going to go so well for me.
0:55.8	But it was surprisingly deep and clear and blissful.
0:59.8	So Kristen just suggested that perhaps from that deep place before we get all stirred up in our intellects again,
1:06.9	we could just say a sentence or so, perhaps about the topic we discussed the morning in the morning,
1:13.5	but more in terms of our own experience of what enlightenment is, something along those lines.
1:19.8	It just appeared in the midst of our silence together that there was so much rich discussion this morning
1:26.0	and in terms of being of service,
1:29.3	that for the audience to hear a succinct sentence,
1:34.0	maybe two, one or two from each person,
1:37.6	speaking from that depth of concise,
1:41.4	speaking to that question that we spent the morning on of what is enlightenment
1:45.0	to just offer the beauty of the varied response
1:50.0	to hear you I don't know what enlightenment is don't know how the term is used haven't studied it
1:58.0	my inner experience is of a singular I Am
