joined by special guest Keith Simon, co-author of Truth Over Tribe. He graduated from Trinity

Evangelical Divinity School and co-planned the Crossing, a politically diverse church,

where he is the co-lead teaching pastor. He hosts a podcast by the same name Truth Over Tribe

and teaches on 10-minute Bible talks. Keith is married to Christine and they have four children.

Keith, welcome to the show. Thanks for having me. That was kind of the official biography you gave me

there. I appreciate it. Yeah, I basically stole that from your book. So please add to that as you

were. Interesting that that biography makes it sound. I would. Yeah, no, I'm sure you are.

That's pretty vanilla, but I do appreciate being here with you guys. I really like what you guys

are doing and I'm looking forward to a good conversation. And we're missing today. We just had some

mishaps and an inability and inability to reschedule, but we're missing kind of your partner and

crime here on this book, Patrick. Maybe you could even tell us a little bit about him and who helped

you co-write this book. Yeah, Patrick and I wrote the book together. We share an office or both

pastors at the same church. We share an office together. I'm Jinx. He's a millennial. I'm public

school. He's private school. I'm the kind of guy that talked to the ordinary person and he's the

kind of guy that can kind of talk to the ordinary person, but also speaks in Latin and does have a lot

of other crazy stuff. So one time you put out on Twitter, he was looking for recommendations for

a good translation of Plato to read. And I'm like, are you kidding me? This is so stereotypical of

what everybody thinks about you. That's translation of Plato. I mean, come on, man. Just be normal for

once, but he's a great guy smart and gifted and we got to write the book together and it's been a fun

journey. Good. It's awesome. Well, maybe you can also talk about how you know about Bama, what made

you reach out to us. Yeah. And so it's a good story. I have four kids or maybe I should say my wife
