I don't know what the Patrick Coffin Show is. I don't know what it wants. If it's looking for ransom, I don't have any money.

Come to the show. There are priests whose name you'd recognize who do not feel in conscience that they're able to say the name Francis, our Pope, and the Tejitor of the Canon of the Mass.

Because they believe that Francis is not the true Pope. He is an anti-Pope. Now, I'm not at liberty to disclose the names of these priests, and I suspect there are bishops who feel the same way.

But I want this episode of the show to be a consolation and hopefully a source of light in an issue that's renowned for its heat.

There's a lot at stake here, obviously, and I hope to present it with charity and a level of clarity that makes sense if you're on the fence about whether or not the evidence is even reasonable, even if you're in doubt as to whether you should be thinking thoughts like this.

A lot of Catholics are frankly freaked out about the fact that Francis may be our latest anti-Pope, even though we've had 30 plus in Catholic history.

Now, if you're new to this evidence, believe me, I completely understand the cognitive dissonance that comes with it at first. If you've never given any thought, it's kind of a shocking notion to allow into your mind.

Most of us don't really know what an anti-Pope is, and obviously none of us has ever had any direct experience in our lifetime of a papal resignation, let alone a papal resignation that did not objectively do what most people say that it did.

So it's a jarring thought, and most people, frankly, prefer to keep their heads in the sand rather than think about what it implies.

The good news is that the non-resignation of Pope Benedict XVI is, in fact, the unique solution to the last nine years of non-stop chaos and confusion in the Catholic Church. I'll explain why.
