0:42.1

yeah we're just glad derrick's still alive and he seems to have a house but maybe not a podcast

0:48.8

studio yeah you should we go over that first so is that why we're shutting down because

0:54.0

your your podcast series right down? We should blame it on that. We should totally use that as a scapegoat. Right? Yeah. Yeah. We'll claim insurance on that. The whole show as well. Well, we'll never record an episode of ILAB in Pacific Palisades again i would bet but actually i didn't even have

1:13.3

that studio anymore i shut it down last summer funny enough there was uh new owners that came in and that got

1:18.9

very greedy and more than doubled my rent and i was like you know what no i'm not doing that it was way

1:23.8

above market value for everything else in the area and then i just decided i was like you know what I don't think I even use it enough to even have this anymore. So I got rid of it. And actually, everything is just in storage right now. So I guess I lucked out, actually. But I do really miss having like a place to work and everything. And yeah, if you haven't been following, obviously a huge truck of Los Angeles started on fire. And the first big fire was in Pacific

And this was just, I don't know, it was wild. I was there that morning. I got videos and pictures and stuff. And I was like, I've never seen a fire move so fast. We had 100 mile an hour wind gusts that day. it the the craziest winds in LA in like 20 or 30 years I've never been a wind like that where it's like you feel like you're being pushed over I don't know if you guys have ever been in like a like a hurricane or something like that it was it was like a hurricane with no rain it was just it was crazy and then just, I saw how fast the fire was moving. And I was

2:34.9

like, I got to get out of here. And then everybody else was just leaving at the same time. And it just came from the top of the mountain, came down and consumed the whole town. And it's just, it's gone. I mean, it's, it was like unreal. My home is totally fine. I'm in Venice. So if you don't know the area. Malibu is on

2:51.2

fire. They usually have a lot of fires. And then you go
