Hello and welcome to Worc case scenario. This is a special series that Jim and I are doing

on best case worst case where we have a discussion about something current in the news.

The last two have been power position predators, so welcome to episode three Jim of power

position predators. How you doing Francie? I'm good. I'm your host,

Francie Hakes, former state and federal prosecutor, and of course Jim is my co-host, Hygym.

Hi. So it's kind of interesting being able to talk about new topics as they come up in the

sight guist and the media, so this is great. It is, and power position predators has been

a theme in the first one we talked about the recent Hollywood scandals, men in power, and of course

we've heard some cases of women in power in Hollywood too. We've had some of the very famous actors

come forward and say that they were sexually harassed. In our second power position predators, we

talked about mostly female offenders, although we did talk about male offenders and how society and

the courts seem to treat them very differently, and we've gotten a lot of feedback from our listeners

on both, and I can't wait to hear from them Jim, as we discuss our third group of power position

predators today, which are community offenders. And there have been some very famous ones over the

last several decades, one being Sandesky, for example, Jerry Sandesky, and another being the Catholic

Church, a group of power position predators. So let's start off with a topic that we might agree on

because I suspect there might be part of the Sandesky case we don't. So let's start off

not blowing out our listeners here, drums, and talk a little bit about the Catholic Church.
