Elliot and what has become a yearly tradition here at 31 Thoughts to Podcast in advance of the opening of the season we will blaze through all 31 teams and

Elliot give us a snapshot of where they're at what the questions are with all of them. I don't want to waste

anyone's time with a big preamble here. We have a lot to get to 31 teams.

We're going to go division by division. We'll start in the east and the Boston Bruins.

No Zadano Chara, they do bring in Craig Smith.

There's a lot of question marks about the bees.

Where are they?

So SportsNet did a thing where they asked us for our preseason predictions, what team you think

will be the biggest disappointment? Who did you put?

I put Islanders. Okay. I didn't check the results but when I was just

you know throwing some ideas back and forth with some people I know a few of them

were considering Boston. There's a ton of them were considering Boston.

There's a ton of respect for the Bruins and what they do

and the culture they've created and what they've built up there.

But what has happened this off season is

Thrown a lot of that into what exactly is going on here and I think some of it was know, the Bruins took a long look at, okay, do we have to start

preparing for the changing of the core? You know, one of their most important cultural players is gone now and you know who knows where we're going to be with a couple others after this season.

So and also it just looks like they're not in a position to spend a ton of money.

So I think for the first time and a long time, people are looking at Boston and saying,
