Hello and welcome to day 19 of 31 Days of Terror.

I have one spooky story for you today and this story comes from Craig and it's a long

one so grab yourself a nice hard drink and settle in.

Boys camp at my summer camp was a unique place.

It seemed designed either from the very early days of the camp or as an afterthought, following

a clearing of a vacant land.

It was far removed from the cluster of buildings of the rest of the camp.

The summer of 1995 was my second year as a counsellor at the camp and my tenth year

at the camp all together.

I was in charge of a group of kids roughly aged 11 to 13 just on the verge of puberty.

Half of them knew each other from home and were all on the same hockey team so they had

an air of toughness about them.

The other kids were from all over and fitting well enough but didn't quite meet the

bravada of the hockey gang.

For the first week I got the sense from these guys that they loved being a camp but not

so much the rules and traditions.

They would show up on time and participate but their real focus was to try and impress

the girls camp.

They were also old enough to start getting a peek behind the curtain at all things hidden

from campers especially at a young age.

One of these was that every night once the kids were asleep or the older kids at least

settled, the counsellors would all leave their cabins of 8 or 9 kids and meet at the
