The Hello and welcome to 31 Days of Terror 2025 and we are on day number 30. And I have two

spooky stories for you today. And story number one comes from Ashley. We were living in southern Idaho, which is desert country.

Our house backed onto a golf course and across the street was a giant farm field that eventually

blended into hundreds of miles of desert. It was stunning and isolating at the same time.

We were getting ready to move across the country.

My husband had already gone ahead with our eldest son and I stayed behind with our younger

boy-girl twins. My job was to finish packing, sell the house and try not to lose my mind.

For context, I consider myself pretty tough. I was in the military, then a firefighter,

and I am not the kind of person who normally gets spooked being alone.

Honestly, I usually prefer it.

One night I woke up to this strange humming sound.

I sat up in bed, ears straining, trying to figure out where it was coming from.

I cracked a window. Same sound. I opened the

front door. Same sound. It was like it came from everywhere and nowhere at once. Familiar but

impossible to place. It took me a week to realise it sounded exactly like a singing bowl,

that deep vibrating hum that you feel in your body more than you hear with your ears.

I peeked out the window and briefly wondered if it was a spaceship.

That seemed ridiculous.

Besides, all the UFO stories say that they are silent,

so I eventually went back to bed.

The next night it happened again.
